It’s not always easy to admit to ourselves or others when we have given up on something. We hide behind success, status, having it all together, our religious background—you name it. However, these masks simply hide the truth; they don’t heal it. We are a generation in need of hope, but the only way to get that hope is by letting go of our need to hide and letting God heal our hurt instead.   • Statistics show that one in three people, or close to 33 percent, of people in the U.S. experience loneliness on a regular basis. Sixty one percent of younger people in the U.S. say they are chronically lonely. Fifty one percent of mothers of young children also report feeling lonely.
