Episode notes

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and one of the busiest! When life speeds up, one of the biggest temptations many of us face is to stop spending time with God. But God is the only one who can bring true inner peace into our lives. No matter how fast life is going, we can find calm by listening to and trusting God’s Word more than our own ability to get things done.

Listen or watch our new Scripture Playlist to learn how to get peace from being close to God.

Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have. [7] And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds.

Philippians 4:6-7 ERV

While Jesus and his followers were traveling, he went into a town, and a woman named Martha let him stay at her house. [39] She had a sister named Mary. Mary was sitting at Jesus’ feet and listening to him teach. [40] But her sister Martha was busy doing all the work that had to be done. Martha went in and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” [41] But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are getting worried and upset about too many things. [42] Only one thing is important. Mary has made the right choice, and it will never be taken away from her.”

[30] For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”
