God wants us to evaluate ourselves by how deep and strong our faith is. He doesn’t evaluate our spiritual condition by looking at how we appear on the surface. The depth of our faith determines how much of a difference we can make in the lives of those around us.
When we decide to be humble and take God seriously instead of ourselves, good things happen.
Humble people have room to love. When we’re humble we are able to love God and others more because we think their lives are equally valuable to our own.
In order to dig deep, we have to be willing to go through the process of discovering who we really are and what’s really in our hearts. We often like to stay superficial and avoid this process. Strain exposes who we really are. How do you handle the strain in your life? What comes out? How deeply rooted are you and able to handle the strain of life?
Do you look forward to praying and believe God listens?
Naomi is one of the rare individuals in scripture who demonstrates the “Deep Humility” necessary to see and admit the depth of her brokenness.
A daily quiet time helps us get to know God, and allows God to get to know us.
