As we all continue to try to learn what it means to live during the pandemic, it can be easy to get in survival mode and settle for an ordinary life.
What is influencing you the most during this pandemic? Has it been the news, discouragement, your emotions, or God, the Bible, and spiritual friends?
In the midst of dealing with the ongoing stress of 2020 and the pandemic, it can be easy to just want to run away and hope all of our problems will be magically solved. But no matter where we run, our stress doesn’t leave us.
For such a time that we are in, we are given an incredible opportunity to not tread water spiritually, but to take advantage of everything that’s going on - to learn and to transform.
By digging down deep, we start the process toward having a faith in God that is not easily shaken. However, depth takes work. It is not a personality trait or a natural talent, but rather a skill that must be worked at and developed over time.
Though in the moment our difficulties may feel like they are too much we can handle, God uses them as opportunities for us to grow.
When we live in denial of what we are struggling with or having a hard time overcoming, we get stuck, settle, and are never able to do the impossible God is ready to help us achieve.
Do you ever feel overly agitated and irritated, but don't know why? Oftentimes, anger and frustration are masks for unresolved anxiety. We need to discover what is underneath our worry so God can bring us peace.
When we get caught up in the stress of life, we miss out on the peace and contentment God really wants to give us. We must decide to dig deep in our hearts to find the source of our anxiety and worry so that God can relieve and heal us.
