Episode notes
Happiness starts with a choice: where (or to whom) will we turn to find it?
The thief approaches with malicious intent, looking to steal, slaughter, and destroy; I came to give life with joy and abundance.
John 10:10 Voice
In John 10, Jesus tells us that we will either get fooled by the “thief” or taken care of by the shepherd. The thief wants to use us: stealing our faith, hope, and love. This leaves us unbelieving, untrusting, and unhappy. Jesus, as our shepherd, wants to give us life, joy, abundance, and satisfaction that last.
I am the good shepherd; I know My sheep, and My sheep know Me. As the Father knows Me, I know the Father; I will give My life for the sheep.
John 10:14-15 Voice
By choosing to trust in God, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities and true happiness.
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
Psalm 90:14 NIV
