Through music, we can go from being absent and distant to loving and attached. In other words, we can go from “MIA to present.”
We may feel regret, and think that this is just who we are. God understands how we feel, but wants to help us see that we are not defined by our mistakes.
Hopelessness can be a difficult feeling to express. Through music, we can go from feeling overwhelmed by hopelessness to hopeful and dreaming with God.
When we feel alone and isolated, we can become afraid that if we really let people in, they won't accept us for who we are. But God wants fill the hole that loneliness creates.
We all have talents and gifts that make us who we are. But too often, insecurity and self-doubt plague us with the fear that we aren’t good enough or will inevitably fail.
Music can help spur us on, where we can not only intellectually understand the need for change to the world around us, but be stirred in our hearts to become the people who bring that change.
Emotions can be overwhelming. Emotions were also overwhelming for the psalmists, but they had an outlet for understanding and expressing them – music!
