About the video

Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings was an interesting movie for me to watch.

It had a more grounded feel to the usual Marvel movie even though there were a lot more otherworldly aspects and exploration of East Asian culture surrounding it. When faced with painful experiences in our past, we can either let it twist our view of life or we can adapt to it.

God helps us understand ourselves and chooses to forgive us and believes in our ability to love rather than blame, kill or take revenge. What helps us move on is forgiveness and we can’t experience this forgiveness without an honest perspective of who we really are.

Scriptures from the video

BE ANGRY [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], YET DO NOT SIN; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down. [27] And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].

Ephesians 4:26-27 AMP

We have spoken freely to you people in Corinth. We have opened our hearts to you. [12] Our feelings of love for you have not stopped. It is you who have stopped your feelings of love for us. [13] I speak to you as if you were my children. Do the same as we have done—open your hearts also.

2 Corinthians 6:11-13 ERV

All the ways of a man are clean and innocent in his own eyes [and he may see nothing wrong with his actions], But the LORD weighs and examines the motives and intents [of the heart and knows the truth].

Proverbs 16:2 AMP
