God is attractive. His love, care, and concern for us make him appealing.
His belief in us makes him desirable. His expectation for us is inspiring. His willingness to forgive, forget, and give us a second chance makes him irresistible. Those who truly know God practice a religion that reflects these qualities. For those who know him, God remains at all times at the forefront of their lives. In their minds, he is the most attractive thing about their faith.
Unfortunately, as attractive as God may be, we have been known to forget him. We become preoccupied with the success he has given us and the amazing things he has done through us. Before we know it, we are talking about how great we are rather than how great he is — and religion is born. Too often when religion is birthed, the created becomes more important than the Creator.
The following is a collection of devotionals, videos, and podcast episodes, to expand on Chapter 2 of the book, He’s Not Who You Think He Is: Dropping Your Assumptions and Discovering God for Yourself, and to help you develop a fresh perspective on God.
