What we want to do in this devotional is provide a few ways we can approach social media from a spiritual lens.
God changes us from the inside out, and we live the rest of our lives knowing we are here for a reason.
This parable will help us understand what it feels like to be lost and how God responds to that feeling by always trying to bring us home.
No matter what problems you may face, God has a way to make them purposeful. God helps us change our perspective so that we see problems as opportunities.
God wants us to evaluate ourselves by how deep and strong our faith is. He doesn’t evaluate our spiritual condition by looking at how we appear on the surface. The depth of our faith determines how much of a difference we can make in the lives of those around us.
When we are insecure, it can be easy to feel like we are a “nobody going nowhere.”
With insecurity, God never responds with criticism. He responds with a purpose to live for something beyond themselves.
God’s dream is to free us from the things we feel imprisoned by. He wants us to feel comforted, confident, and happy.
When we experience testing, pain and failure in our lives, it is easy to give into fear and doubt. “Flipping the Switch” is about learning to let God use our personal passion, ambition, dreams, pain, and setbacks for his greater purpose of saving lives.
We are living in a time of fear-inducing chaos, when darkness is rising. We must embrace our responsibility to God and our neighbors to bring the light.
Conquer is a word descriptive of but rarely used to define Jesus. It means “to defeat an enemy, or take control or possession of a foreign land.” In this sense, Jesus comes as the light to conquer a world filled with darkness.
