A conviction is a belief you hold onto firmly.
Perseverance is the continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, discouragement or opposition. To persist and not give up.
How do you respond when you go through storms in life? Emotional storms? Do they drive you closer to God and make you stronger in your convictions? Or do storms leave you shaken and weakened in your faith?
God exerts and expresses an unwavering perseverance when he sees our good days having gone bad. He doesn’t stop loving us when we fail, sin, or give up.
This is a lesson for all of us about running and quitting. Before we “give up the ghost,” maybe we should check with God to find out if he has a plan.
